komodo dragon is the largest lizard in the world, which called "ora " in local language. These ora can only befound in their natural habitat in komodo national park,western and northen of flores island.  Beside on komodo island, the dragons also could be found in Rinca island, GIi i Motang and nusa kode. The dragons prefers inhabit at low land forest but sometimes also could be found at savana and higher forest. 



 
 

 

 
 
Adult  ora prey on deer,wild pig, wild buffallo,wild horses,and dead of that prey. On big prey the dragon just bite that will die causes by infected of many deadly bacteria in their saliva.  Ora its away lay arround cause ora cold-blooded. They are constantly regulating their body temperature. in the early morning they must warm up their bodies in the sun. If their body temperature drops to low the food in their stomach can rot and /or even death. However the dragons body temperature must not exceed 42 cellcius. 



 
 
 
 
 
 
Dragons are most active from 6 to 10 a.m.and again 3 to 5 p.m. The dragons sleep in the night cause it is usually to cool for them to be active. so the dragons will sleep where they will not loose too much heat. They sleep in the edge of savana or in burrows.
